Queenstown day 2

Got up late.  Breakfast out in town.  Went wine tasting since Queenstown area is supposed to have the best Pinot Noir in New Zealand.  The picture shows us at the Gibson Winery.  Great faculties but bad wines.   Drove to the small town of Bannockburn.  Akarua and Mount Difficulty were the best we found but we did not have time to do an exhaustive search.  Sucks!  Note the arid vegetation and the extensive coverings over the grapes to protect them from the birds.  They also use sound machines and trained hawks to get rid of the birds.  Light dinner and off to bed as we have to get up early tomorrow.
