Taupau and Naiper

Mostly a traveling day.  Breakfast was Sultana Bran (thats what they call Raisin Bran).  Drove to Taupo to see the famed Huka Falls, lunch in Taupo and then on to Napier.  Stopped at a Volcano Research place to get an update on New Zealand’s volcanic activity.  New Zealand sits astride two plates and they are tearing it apart and are responsible for the many volcanos and the geothermal activity on the island.  Arrived late in Napier which is famous for its art deco buildings.  Most of the town was destroyed in the 1931 earthquake and rebuilt in the 1930s.
